Curing Metal With IR
Infrared provides process heat to a wide array of metal curing applications Here are just a few.
- A manufacturer of mild steel bearings uses high power short wave heaters from Heraeus Noblelight to heat the bearings prior to pouring molten white metal. The system replaced a flat bed oven which was worn out from long-term exposure to aggresive fluxes and acids. The new system offers pyrometer control for precise application of heat.
- An industrial manufacturer of compressors for small cooling units uses a powder curing oven as part of its process. The company replaced its long wave heating system with short wave heaters from Heraeus Noblelight. The new system allows a higher curing temperature, eliminates cold spots, facilitates a higher production speed, and provides greater system control.
