Metal Halide Lamps for the Printing Industry
MH lamps are mercury lamps which have been adjusted to the spectral sensitivity of photo materials by adding metal halides. The quality of MH lamps is seen in a long service life, short exposure times, small variations in exposure time during the life of the lamp, and reliable ignition. A quartz material is used for the lamps which absorbs UV radiation and prevents the formation of ozone.
Metal halide lamps are generally used for high-resolution film exposures and in photo-polymerization processes. Such processes are, for example, the exposure of diazo materials, microfilms, offset plates and screen coatings but also the exposure of coating films and photo-resistant materials in the production of circuit boards.
Heraeus supplies lamps for all reprographic equipment on the market with a power range of 400 to 8000W. Lamps can also be developed to your special requirements.
